We started our week celebrating the commitment of our musicians. Third grade celebrated milestones on the recorder and our seventh graders showed their collaboration and talent as drummers.
We continue to show our knowledge and learning as we take our state tests. Grade 3-5 showed their caring and support for each other as they signed each other's shirts and left messages like "You can do it" "Try your best" and You've got this" . This year's shirts say #NOLIMITS. We practice and preach growth mindset.
Action and celebration in MYP. One of our Community Project groups created this bulletin board to inspire action. Lockers were decorated to cheer on and support our Model UN representatives.
Grade 8 thinkers gathered to share their Community Project and get some feedback. Please join us on Thursday, April 25th at 1:15 to hear about their research and action.
In Grade 5, our exhibition groups are working hard researching and planning.
Action continues with our parents and teachers. The parent/teacher Equity and Inclusion group planned a great night of thinking, discussion and planning. Thanks to all who planned and participated.

It was a great week of learning, inquiring and celebration at Campus International School.
What do inquirers do with what the have learned? They share it with the community and make their learning public. These researchers and performers shared their learning about Women's History through play that featured women throughout history who made history and the Equal Rights Amendment.
Miss Ferguson shared her Irish Dancer skills with her class and her kindergarten learners and performers taught us some Irish Dancing while Mrs. Pohl shared her skills on the fiddle.
Second grade readers and performers shared their creativity as they created sets and costumes and performed classic folk tale plays at at lunch. They also used their design skills to build house for the three little pigs.

Kindergarten readers hosted family members as they shared a favorite book and more families joined our PCO meeting to learn about Say YES.
Our learners help each other and our school through action and service. A grade six learner teaches our kindergarteners during recess as they read books together. Grade eight students spend their CAS time planning activities for middles school students. A grade two learner reads with a first grader.
MYP hosted two guest this week. Principal Terrence Mitchell from Vally View Boys Leadership Academy spoke with our MYP boys and setting goals and reaching them. A local community group spoke about learning through dance.
Campus International High School hosted it's second annual Research Symposium at CSU. Our researchers and learners presented their Grade 9 action research projects and and Grade 10 students shared the Personal Project, which is the Capstone of the OB Middle Year's Program.

We began our week celebrating our learners in 3-5 for Living the Learner Profile.
Third grade thinkers kicked off their fundraiser. They are concerned about our planet and our responsibility to take care of it. The penny war is on to raise money for more recycling containers at our school. You can also use your penny to choose your favorite endangered species and they will also. donate to support the survival of that species. They also did a simulation to explore factors that influence survival in ecosystems.

Kindergarten is thinking and writing about our Earth too. They read The Lorax and they also "speak for the trees."
