First grade artists and poets shared images of themselves and name poems.
It was a busy week around the school. We celebrated poetry in the cafe sharing the poem in our pocket. Artists showed creativity as they illustrated lines form poems and refilled are cafe table signs and a note about kindness shared a caring message to spread around the school. #staypositive and spread it throghout the school.
Our CAS cursive club read poetry and copied it in beautiful cursive handwriting.
Thinking about math around the school and noticing what mathematicians do. In grade 5 mathematicians explored math through games and puzzles.
Collaborating, thinking and using tools - there are so many ways to explore mathematics.
In MYP math, Communicators share feedback with each other as they think about how problems are solved and represented.
In MYP Sciences learners work in stations and plan their week using a menu.
More choice in MYP Language and Literature. Readers choose a a novel and work in book clubs. They are also working on poems of their own,
Exploring and answering conceptual and debatable questions in Visual Art as artists create plans for mobiles using symbols designed and created with clay.
DNA in Grade 6 Sciences. Guest from Case shared research as learners explored DNA.
There are so many ways we take action and share our talents and ideas with the school community. Third grade performers prepare for the third grade musical, in grade 8 a group of planners design activity proposals to end the school year. Kindergarten musicians get ready to play the ukulele in our after school programs and a grade 8 student prepares a sensory path for the K-2 floor.
Exploring How the World Works in grades 1 and 2, Grade One scientists explore how objects are moved and investigate force and motion. Designers in grade two created cars powered by balloons. They showed both creativity and thinking.

We started our week celebrating the commitment of our musicians. Third grade celebrated milestones on the recorder and our seventh graders showed their collaboration and talent as drummers.
We continue to show our knowledge and learning as we take our state tests. Grade 3-5 showed their caring and support for each other as they signed each other's shirts and left messages like "You can do it" "Try your best" and You've got this" . This year's shirts say #NOLIMITS. We practice and preach growth mindset.
Action and celebration in MYP. One of our Community Project groups created this bulletin board to inspire action. Lockers were decorated to cheer on and support our Model UN representatives.
Grade 8 thinkers gathered to share their Community Project and get some feedback. Please join us on Thursday, April 25th at 1:15 to hear about their research and action.
In Grade 5, our exhibition groups are working hard researching and planning.
Action continues with our parents and teachers. The parent/teacher Equity and Inclusion group planned a great night of thinking, discussion and planning. Thanks to all who planned and participated.

Our third graders counted their earnings form the Penny War and raised over $300.00 to help endangered species and expand our recycling program.
