In grade 5 students investigate vocabulary as they begin new unit and read to find more information. MYP students consider history from different points of view.

Grade 3 artists create Artist Trading Card. They will soon be available at a fundraising event to support the Third Grade Musical.

We are developing and practicing Communication Skills around the school. Communication skills are one group of the Approaches to Learning included in the International Baccalaureate program. The Communication Skills focus on exchanging information, literacy and information and communication technology.

Lunch and Learn about the IB at the Campus International High School. Students and teachers shared information about our school with community members. Our students demonstrated and practiced Speaking skills, sharing ideas and opinions with others.

Grade 4 historians and thinkers communicate through writing as they think about artifacts from the past, the Ohio History standards and the theme How we Express Ourselves.
Grade 5 investigators and communicators explore properties around the school listening carefully to ideas and expressing their ideas to draw conclusions.
These communicators used their communication skills to plan a birthday surprise for their teacher and communicate kindly to say "Happy Birthday".
Communicating and having fun at the CSU Women's Basketball game. Our choir sang the National Anthem, High Steppers performed and we all cheered the Vikings on to win!!!
Happy New Year! We welcomed each other back to school and celebrated 2019 together. It was a great week for reflection and looking forward to the new year and the second half of our school year.
We celebrated the new year around the school with parties and reflection. Kindergarten thinkers planned for 2019 with a flip book. Our grade 4 thinkers listed random thoughts and goals for the Approaches to Learning. In MYP, we looked forward with a focus on growth.

Our first days back from break always include time to communicate with class meetings.
Second grade designers were busy this week with the challenge to build a polar bear den with marshmallows and toothpicks. Thinking and collaboration helped them get the job done.
They also needed to spend some time planning and exploring resources to get ideas.
Kindergarten used their creativity to create scenes from The Snowy Day. Literature inspired art.
Artists across the school used creativity and knowledge.
MYP students demonstrated their knowledge of the color wheel and applied it to their work to inform others,
Second grade showed off their weaving skills as well as their use of art elements.
Third grade readers responded to One Hen and considered economic choices and their effects on individuals, communities and the world.
Two former Campus International students and current Campus International High School students and entrepreneurs shared their business with third grade learners. They took notes and asked some very interesting questions. These students explained their business and it's continued growth over many years They shared their savings plan, as well as the ways their business always gives back to the community.
Grade 8 students continue to research and plan their community project.

MYP students spent two days at the Model UN conference at John Carroll University, They worked hard, were very prepared and had a great time. Two students were awarded for Best Position Paper.
